Leuprolide

Leuprolide is a GnRH blocker that binds to GnRH receptors and acts as a GnRH agonist, which means that it overloads the GnRH pituitary receptor and desensitizes it. This receptor sends out signals to the reproductive system so they produce hormones, therefore, leuprolide prevents masculinization in those with testes and feminization in those with ovaries.

It is often used in treatment of prostate cancer, in the treatment estrogen sensitive diseases and conditions in AFAB people, and to prevent early puberty.
