Toremifene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) which has estrogenic effects in some parts of the body (e.g., liver, uterus, bone) and antiestrogenic effects in other parts of the body (e.g., breasts, pituitary). It is very similar to tamoxifen.
